Confetti Studios

Description: Confetti Studios deliver pioneering courses in music technology, video production and animation. Courses range from flexible part-time to full time courses and from foundation level to degree level. The service has the latest equipment, software, state of the art studios and specialist tutors. Confetti also offer some one-to-one courses.

Connexions Nottingham

Description: An information and advice service for young people, offering support on a wide range of topics: career decisions, drug advice; education; health issues; money matters; personal problems; training and work.
A Personal Advisor works closely with local partners and will refer young people to appropriate specialist agencies. A key objective of Connexions Nottinghamshire is to encourage young people to stay in education, employment and training.

Double Impact

Description: Double Impact aim to provide a good service for people who have experienced problematic drug and alcohol use and who are now wishing to abstain. They provide support on personal development, housing, training, education and employment. They also provide a mentoring scheme and a structured aftercare programme, volunteer work opportunities, a womens group, a range of complementary therapies and even have their own football team.

Criteria: Stabilised/recovering drug and alcohol users aged 18 and above who are seeking aftercare support in accessing housing, further education, training, entering employment or voluntary work.

Description: The aim of the project is to help people change their lives and futures for the better by accessing training, education or employment. Services provided include: 1:1 support, arranging training and further education, writing a CV, interview techniques, opening a bank account, benefits advice, transport costs for interviews, some financial assistance.

Criteria: Anyone who is over 18, homeless (NCA, Hostels etc), recovering from alcohol/substance misuse or has any criminal convictions.

Minimum age: 18

Description: Confidence and motivation support, interview preparation, CV preparation, assistance with finding a suitable job and/or course for your needs, links with local colleges and employers, understanding, non-judgemental and 100% confidential services, small amount of financial assistance available, continued assistance after entering employment or training.

Criteria: Available to recovering substance/alcohol missusers, people with criminal convictions and people with homelessness issues (living in hostels etc.)

Referral Procedure Welcome meetings are held in the office every Thursday at 2.00pm. Anyone is welcome to come along to find out more. Bus fares will be reimbursed.

Take 1 Studios

Description: Take 1 deliver non-vocational pre-vocational and vocational learning and training for young people and adults, doing music, media, performing arts, dance, singing, video production and artistic development. Individuals and groups are given support and embrace different musical styles such as hip-hop and RnB etc.
