Description: The BAC-IN project provides culturally sensitive and culturally appropriate services to individuals and families from African/Caribbean, South Asian and Dual Heritage backgrounds to be able to address and treat substance misuse and related psychological issues. Wide range of services from Counselling, Mentoring, Advocacy, Group Support, Aftercare Support and Prison Inreach.

Description: Double Impact aim to provide a good service for people who have experienced problematic drug and alcohol use and who are now wishing to abstain. They provide support on personal development, housing, training, education and employment. They also provide a mentoring scheme and a structured aftercare programme, volunteer work opportunities, a womens group, a range of complementary therapies and even have their own football team.

Criteria: Stabilised/recovering drug and alcohol users aged 18 and above who are seeking aftercare support in accessing housing, further education, training, entering employment or voluntary work.

Description: Supports over 330 local Home-Start schemes throughout the UK. Local volunteers offer regular support, befriending and practical help to families under stress with at least one child under 5. Families are visited in their own homes.

Criteria: Families under stress with at least one child under 5.

Description: Housing information and advice for members of the armed forces and their families. Telephone helpline gives housing options advice to members of the armed forces while they are serving and when they are about to return to civilian life. JSHAO also provides help and information to ex-Service personnel who are still in Service Families' Accommodation.

Description: Include is a floating support service for adults who have mild to moderate learning disability/autism/Asperger's syndrome, living in Nottingham City, who need tenancy related support.

Criteria: For those who need support with tenancy related issues and are willing to engage with support workers

Description: The aim of the project is to help people change their lives and futures for the better by accessing training, education or employment. Services provided include: 1:1 support, arranging training and further education, writing a CV, interview techniques, opening a bank account, benefits advice, transport costs for interviews, some financial assistance.

Criteria: Anyone who is over 18, homeless (NCA, Hostels etc), recovering from alcohol/substance misuse or has any criminal convictions.

Minimum age: 18

Description: Confidence and motivation support, interview preparation, CV preparation, assistance with finding a suitable job and/or course for your needs, links with local colleges and employers, understanding, non-judgemental and 100% confidential services, small amount of financial assistance available, continued assistance after entering employment or training.

Criteria: Available to recovering substance/alcohol missusers, people with criminal convictions and people with homelessness issues (living in hostels etc.)

Referral Procedure Welcome meetings are held in the office every Thursday at 2.00pm. Anyone is welcome to come along to find out more. Bus fares will be reimbursed.

Description: Telephone advice and information for people with a housing problem or who are homeless. Issues dealt with including housing rights, harassment, illegal eviction, rent and mortgage arrears, disrepair, housing benefit, domestic violence, hostel replacements and finding accommodation.

Criteria: People who are homeless or those with a housing problem.

Description: Helpline offering advice and representation on any issues for Travellers. Advice and representation on accommodation problems, including evictions (site or roadside), planing, site problems. Emergency out of hours phone 077 6831 6755. Signposting to other agencies. Most work done under Legal Aid franchise. Funded by Community Legal Services Direct.

Criteria: Travellers.
