Addison Supported Living and Housing

Description: Keywork systems. Meetings at least weekly. Individual support plans with agreed outcomes, reviewed monthly. Support offered with life skills, benefit claims, budgeting, accessing training and leisure opportunities, and liaison with other agencies.

Criteria: Single women with enduring mental health problems.

Will not accept some applicants with a history of violence, arson, sex offenses and ongoing drug and alcohol dependency.

Minimum age: 21

Advance Housing

Description: Staff help residents to live as independently as possible whilst offering support around social and living skills. 6 monthly review meetings. Further support may be provided and funded by statutory services. Residents are expected to share in the running of the house.

Criteria: People with a history of mental health problems or learning disabilities.

Will not accept people in need of intensive psychiatric health care. Those whose behaviour is disruptive through alcohol or drug abuse. People who are violent.

Minimum age: 20

Approved Premises - Hucknall

Description: Staff provide supervision and support around offending behaviour, employment, training, life skills, social skills, leisure activities, drugs, alcohol and long term accommodation. Literacy, numeracy, art and computer classes provided 4 days a week by Broxtowe College Stepping Stones.

Criteria: Men who are subjected to parole, licence, bail, resettlement leave from prison or Probation orders.

Minimum age: 18

Approved Premises - Raleigh Street

Description: Staff provide support to address offending behaviour and assistance on matters including health, benefits, budgeting, employment, training and leisure.

There is a Criminal Justice worker on the staff team and a Hostel GP.

Criteria: Bailees, probationers with conditions to reside and licencees, including those who have high support needs or a high risk of re-offending.

Will not accept those who pose too high a risk to residents, staff or the local community. Those whose sole need is accommodation or whose offenses are minor.

Minimum age: 18

Briarwood Court

Description: Staff provide support around the skills and confidence needed to manage a tenancy. Working with other services making links to education, work and volunteering opportunities.

Criteria: People with learning disabilities, especially those making the first step from living at home or in a residential unit.

Hucknall Hope Lea Project

Description: Staff provide support with daily living skills and help residents organise their social time. Support is aimed at helping residents remain as independent as possible.

Criteria: People with learning disabilities. Can accept couples. Applicants must have a local connection to Ashfield.

Will not accept people with a history of arson, sexual offences or violence. People with challenging behaviour.

Ken Wilde House

Description: Individual care provided by a keyworker system, supporting issues surrounding social skills, health, benefits, drug and alcohol addiction. Also have weekly discussion groups.

Criteria: People with drug and alcohol issues who wish to abstain and engage in a recovery programme.

Will not accept sex offenders.

Description: Information and advice on housing issues and living skills. Residents may be eligible for additional Social Services support following a community care assessment.

Criteria: People who are profoundly deaf with additional needs. Can accept couples.

Nacro Housing - Basford House

Description: Compulsory keywork system, weekly keywork meetings. Support plans agreed between resident/worker. Staff offer advice and support with benefit claims, budgeting and domestic skills. Close liaison with probation officer and other agencies. Regular residents' meetings.

Criteria: Men aged 25 and over who need housing and support at the end of a prison sentence and are committed to trying to change their offending behaviour. Must have a local connection, and regular contact with a Nottinghamshire Probation Officer.

Will not accept men presenting a very high risk of harm to the public, staff, residents and property. Those not motivated to change their offending behaviour.

Minimum age: 25

Description: Action plans with agreed outcomes, reviewed quarterly. Staff visit residents in their homes daily and provide advice and support around managing money, health, drug and alcohol issues, education, training and employment.

Criteria: Single homeless ex-offenders who need support with developing independent living skills.
Will not accept people considered to be 'high risk', including arsonists, sex offenders and those with a history of violence.

Minimum age: 18

All staff are trained in mental health issues.

Studio House

Description: Twice weekly meetings. Keyworker advises on benefits, budgeting, cooking, education, housing and health care. Compulsory day programme Mon- Fri and weekends. The support aims to maintain and strengthen sobriety.

Criteria: People with drug and alcohol misuse issues who wish to abstain and undergo a programme of recovery. Must have a local connection to Nottingham. Can accept people with dogs.

Minimum age: 18
